Jurassic World has finally been dethroned down under, with Terminator: Genisys terminating the dinosaurs this weekend. Terminator: Genisys enjoyed a solid $4.7 million opening this weekend, helping add to its worldwide total of $127.9 million so far.
In second was Minions also enjoying a solid $4.7 million weekend, which is up from its $3.9 million that it made last weekend, thanks in part to school holidays, this is an extremely impressive feat.
In third place was Inside Out making $4.4 million for the weekend and again like Minions and thanks to the school holidays Inside Out made $1.2 million more than it did last weekend, another impressive feat and really smart timing of release.
In fourth was Jurassic World, still trucking along making $3.6 million in its fourth weekend of release. People are still going out and seeing this film which is crazy, it is really a worldwide juggernaut, almost everyone I know has seen it and that’s something very rare.
Rounding out the top 5 is Ted 2 making $2.3 million in its second weekend of release.
1. Terminator: Genisys- $4.7 million.
2. Minions- $4.7 million.
3. Inside Out- $4.4 million.
