With a couple big new releases this weekend, the box office seems to be getting back on track.
In first will be Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, after being released in some international markets last week to great success the US should follow suite with a $50 million opening, which will be more than enough for first.
In second will be Everest, starring Jason Clarke and Jake Gyllenhaal, it tells the story of a climbing expedition up Everest that gets hit by a severe storm. The film should make around $30 million.
In third will be Black Mass, starring Johnny Depp. This film has a lot of early buzz for an oscar nomination and is being hailed as a return to form for Johnny Depp. The film should make around $20 million.
In fourth will be The Perfect Guy, dropping down a couple of spots from last week with $15 million. And rounding out the top 5 will be The Visit taking in $14.7 million.
