Nathan Drake is back just before Uncharted 4 with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, which features all of his adventures minus Golden Abyss in a package that brings together one of the great game franchises.
The collection includes Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and was ported to the PlayStation 4 by Bluepoint games. Bluepoint done a wonderful job of bringing all these games over to the PS4, they didn’t mess with anything in the game and added subtle but appreciated features such as stat comparing to the game. This is how you port a game people.
All 3 of these games are modern masterpieces and they still hold up mechanically wise years after they were made and are still some of the best games around. Out of all the games, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune benefited the most from this remaster. The game looks incredible for a remaster and it blew me away about how good it looks considering how old it is.
All of the games benefit from the power of the PlayStation 4 with them now running at 1080p 60 frames per second. The games have never felt or looked better and it really is the best way to play these games. The game lacks the multiplayer features that Uncharted 2 and 3 had but it isn’t to big of a deal. The trophies are fairly easy to attain and haven’t changed much from the PS3 versions but I did appreciate that you can get 3 platinums for each of the games.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is the best way to play these incredible games.
