US BOX OFFICE: HUNGER GAMES WINS THANKSGIVING WEEKEND!!

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 managed to hold onto the top spot this weekend despite tough competition. For the 5 day weekend Mockingjay made an estimated $75.8 million and of which Mockingjay made $51.6 million on the weekend.

In second was Pixar film the Good Dinosaur making an estimated $55.6 million for the 5 day weekend and of which $39.2 million was made on the actual weekend. This is on the low end of Pixar openings but it’s still a good result.

The return of Rocky Balboa was a triumpht one with Creed pulling in an estimated $42.6 million for the 5 day weekend and of which $30.1 million was made on the actual weekend. This was a great result for Creed.

In fourth was Spectre making an estimated $12.8 million. And rounding out the top 5 was The Peanuts Movie making an estimated $9.7 million.

  1. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2- $51.6 million.
  2. The Good Dinosaur- $39.2 million.
  3. Creed- $30.1 million.
  4. Spectre- $12.8 million.
  5. The Peanuts Movie- $9.7 million.

So how did I go in my predictions? I got 2/5 :/. I thought The Good Dinosaur would top Hunger Games but it wasn’t to be, I also thought that Viktor Frankenstein would make some money but instead that bombed hard making $3.4 million for the 5 day weekend.
