Supergirl S1E11- Strange Visitor From Another Planet Review!

A White Martian comes after Hank in the latest episode of Supergirl!

FULL SPOILERS FOLLOW!

This episode was one of the best of the series so far. It had a lot more of a darker tone then the previous episodes and it fit much better. I also really enjoyed the focus being more on Hank, he really carries the episode well and it was nice to see more of him.

It was great to find out more about Jonn Jonnz and his back story of sorts. David Harewood gives a great performance and really does a fantastic job at conveying the emotion and his torn state. Seeing Hank in such an unstable state was great and different.

The whole White Martian part was great to. The White Martian was really powerful and quite terrifying. Seeing Supergirl and Martian Manhunter take on the White Martian was such a great and awesome fight, one of the best of the series.

Back on the Kara front, Cat reconnects with her son Adam thanks in part to Kara. It was really great to see Cat in such a scared state. Seeing her vulnerable was such a change and it shows just how much she cares for her son. Adam was quite meh, I found Blake Jenner to be kind of stale and wooden in the role. I also found Kara finishing off Cat’s letter and sending it to Adam being pretty rude.

We didn’t see to much of Jimmy or Winn after last episode. It seems like the Kara/Winn situation is going to be drawn out quite a bit. It will be interesting to see Winn’s reaction to Kara going out on a date with Adam.

The little teaser at the end showed Bizzaro Supergirl saving a car setting her up for next week.

The focus on Hank helped this episode of Supergirl be its best one yet.

4.2/5.
